Sturrock lined up for exit

Swindon Town manager Maurice Malpas has allowed Blair Sturrock to join Bournemouth on trial with a view to the striker moving to Dean Court on loan.

The 27-year-old former Plymouth Argyle forward has failed to feature in the Robins' first-team squad since March.

"Bournemouth got in touch at the weekend and asked if Blair could join them on trial with a view to a loan deal," Malpas told the club's official website.

"Hopefully he'll do well and we can look at the option of him going down there on loan. It had been a concern as to how we could get Blair match-fit, but thankfully Bournemouth have asked to take a look at him.

"We can't bring other players in until we get players out and that's something we're working on."
