Robins to capture Casal

Swindon Town manager Maurice Malpas remains confident he will have completed the signing of former Fulham left-back Yinka Casal before the League One campaign gets underway on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Nigerian has played for DC United and SC Cambuur since leaving Craven Cottage, but impressed Malpas during a recent trial period at the County Ground.

The Robins boss told the Evening Advertiser: "We're there with Yinka and I think it will all go through at some point this week.

"There are a few things still to sort out. They have different legislation in Holland than we do, but everything should be okay.

"We both know the amount of money Yinka will cost but it's just a case of how we pay it."
