Robins take on Timlin

Swindon Town have signed Fulham midfielder Michael Timlin on loan until the turn of the year.

The Robins swooped for Timlin after allowing Andy Monkhouse and Charlie Comyn-Platt to leave the club on loan, as they joined Hartlepool United and Grays Athletic respectively.

Timlin, 21, has made a handful of first-team appearances for the Cottagers and has also enjoyed loan stints with Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers.

Robins boss Paul Sturrock told the club's official website: "I have seen him playing for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s side and also for Fulham, so I know what he is capable of.

"He has experience in League One and I am sure he will definitely do a job here."
