Robins swoop for Partridge

Swindon Town boss Paul Sturrock has strengthened his promotion-chasing squad with the acquisition of Bristol City defender Dave Partridge.

The 28-year-old has made just one appearance for the Robins this season but has spent time away from Ashton Gate on loan at Leyton Orient and Brentford during the course of the campaign.

Partridge has joined the Robins on an initial one-month loan deal.

"We have let Dave join Swindon for a month rather than until the end of the season just in case we need him for our final few games," confirmed City boss Gary Johnson.
