Robins keeper hopeful on knee

Swindon Town goalkeeper David Lucas is hopeful of playing this weekend as he awaits the results of a scan on his knee.

The former Leeds United shot-stopper was forced out of Saturday's draw with Colchester United after picking up the knock in the warm-up.

But the 31-year-old is still taking part in light training, by swimming and cycling.

And Lucas has said that he is desperate to return to action immediately, so as not to fall out of favour with manager Danny Wilson.

"It's tough when you've got lads trying to take your shirt," he admitted. "You've got to be on top of your game and you can't afford slip-ups because it's a strong squad for goalkeepers.

"It helps everyone sometimes because you all want to do better and it gives you the impetus to try harder."
