Nouble poised to make Robins bow

Published: 19 Mar 2010 - 13:49:00

The 18-year-old, who has already had a spell at West Brom this season, has joined the Robins on a month-long emergency loan deal. He has been brought in to counter a host of injury problems for manager Danny Wilson, although his charges have battled through admirably in their last two games, with Charlie Austin netting twice to claim 1-0 wins at Brighton last weekend and Southampton in midweek. Defender Scott Cuthbert took a blow to his medial ligament against Saints on Tuesday and will be missing against the Canaries, while striker Billy Paynter (hamstring) and defender Sean Morrison (groin) are also out. Midfielder Simon Ferry will join them in the stands as he serves a one-match ban having been dismissed at St Mary's. However, forward Vincent Pericard, goalkeeper David Lucas and defender Kevin Amankwaah (all hamstring) are 50/50 and will face late fitness tests, meaning Wilson could well ditch his adopted 4-5-1 formation in light of the recent injury crisis.
