Swindon Town chairman Andrew Fitton has dismissed speculation linking Luton Town striker Sam Parkin with a return to the County Ground.
The 27-year-old scored 73 goals in 142 appearances for the Robins before enduring dismal spells with both Ipswich Town and Luton in the last three seasons.
However, Fitton told the BBC: "As a philosophy, it's very difficult for people to go back. That's the problem.
"It's not that he's not a good player. But the history of players returning to clubs and succeeding isn't very good and you need to be mindful of that."
