Marshall seals Robins switch

Swindon Town have completed the signing of non-league winger Mark Marshall following a successful trial.

The 21-year-old has joined the Robins on a two-year contract from Blue Square South side Eastleigh.

"We are pleased to have him on board. It was one of the easier deals we have done," manager Maurice Malpas told the club's official website.

"He will come here, learn his trade and hopefully we can improve him.

"He has pace, which is a tremendous asset and it will certainly give us an option."

Meanwhile, Malpas has admitted the arrival of another player at the County Ground will lead to the departures of some fringe members of his first-team squad.

"Now is the time to look at moving one or two on who may not be involved in the first-team picture," he added.

"We will concentrate on the Cheltenham game now and then see what happens after that."
