Malpas seeks more belief

Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas has urged his side to show more belief, following their narrow 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

Malpas felt that his team deserved to take something from the game, but did not push forward enough late on to try and rescue at least a point.

He told the Evening Advertiser: "I have a belief in the team, but until they get my belief in games like this we will fall short.

"If someone had said that we would come here and just give away a couple of chances then you would probably say we've done well.

"But that's the type of person I am. I don't think we've done well because we've lost. It was a game we could have taken something from.

"It is a mental thing as opposed to anything else. I just have to keep drilling it into the players. At the end of the game let's push on and try and get something from the game.

"We might as well lose 2-0 while trying to get the equaliser."
