Cox expecting Robins stay

Swindon Town striker Simon Cox has played down talk of him leaving the League One club in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old has already netted 16 goals for the Robins this season, sparking rumours of interest from a number of higher division outfits.

However, former Reading youngster Cox told the Evening Advertiser: "I'm not leaving at the moment, I can't state that enough.

"I don't think anyone's come in with any bids and I'm happy here. If there is any truth in it then I don't know anything about it.

"I'm waiting for the window to close and we'll see where I am at the end of it, but I would expect to still be here."
