Work in progress for Robins

Swindon chief executive Nick Watkins claims the cost of the proposed revamp of the County Ground will become clear by the end of the month. Meetings are ongoing, and Watkins intends to present a final report to the Robins board by the end of September. Project management firm the Frank Whittle Partnership are currently producing a business plan and financial viability study as part of the first phase of work on the development. "It's a work in progress as you will appreciate," Watkins told the Advertiser. "There was a meeting last week between the Frank Whittle Partnership, myself and Mark Isaacs (Swindon Town operations manager). "They put some very broad outline plans together to show the route they are thinking about and to see whether we think it works. "We fine-tuned some of those and the plan is that come late September they will deliver to the board a report of what they believe is possible, and also the intended financial feasibility study alongside it."
