Wilson: We left Brighton off the hook

Disappointed Swindon manager Danny Wilson felt his side had left Brighton off lightly after they won 2-1 against the Robins. Midfielder Matt Sparrow, signed on a free transfer from Scunthorpe, scored in each half as much-fancied Swindon made a poor start to the new campaign. The hosts, who reached the play-offs at Wembley in May, were never a threat until the last 20 minutes when Charlie Austin pulled a goal back. Wilson said: "Overall I think we let Brighton off the hook too easily. "Only in the last 15 minutes did we put them under any kind of pressure. If we had done that from the start it might have been so different. "But I have to say we played without any nous or energy and that was not like us. We have to work much harder than we did so there is plenty of work for us to do."
