Wilson takes heart from last term

Manager Danny Wilson is hoping Swindon can repeat last season`s winter charge to catapult the club firmly into play-off contention. With the Robins having missed out on promotion in agonising fashion last season, frustration has crept in at times this term with them currently 17th in npower League One with 24 points from 19 games. However, they remain just six points off the top six and their position is too dissimilar from last year when they were three points adrift at the same stage, albeit in ninth place with 31 points. Wilson told STFC Player: "Last year we put together a run of four straight wins or something like that which gave us 16 points from the next four or five games, I think it was. So it can happen again this season. "But what we`ve got this season is that, whereas last term Norwich and Leeds were taking a lot of points off teams, points have been shared around more. What we`re looking for is that consistency - if we can get another 10-12 points very quickly then it puts us right back amongst it."
