Swindon boss Danny Wilson has confirmed the club are very close to bringing an unnamed striker to the club on a season-long loan. Wilson has been on the lookout for a forward after Billy Paynter left for Leeds which meant he only had two senior front players at his disposal in Vincent Pericard and Charlie Austin. With Austin being linked with a move away from the club it was crucial Wilson brought in some fresh blood and he revealed two new strikers could be on the way to the County Ground within the next few weeks. He told the Swindon Advertiser: "We've got one that's 99.9% coming and we're looking for another one as well. So with a bit of luck in a couple of weeks we will have two strikers in at least. "(The first one) is a year-long loan deal. The club need the chance to formulate their squad for their own tour and we expect one of the boys to not go and to stay with us. I've spoken to the boy and he's desperate to come here, desperate for first-team football. "We've done it before and given players the chance to make the step up. They have returned to their parent club and their stock has gone massive. We hope to do the same thing again."
