Swindon midfielder Michael Timlin has agreed to join Southend on a one-month loan deal. The 25-year-old has made 110 appearances for the Robins and could be in line for his Roots Hall debut when the Blues host Morecambe on Saturday. Timlin told Swindon's official website that he is looking forward to getting some games under his belt under the tutelage of United boss Paul Sturrock, his former manager at the County Ground. "I am really looking forward to it because it is a chance to get some games under my belt," he said. "I know Paul Sturrock because he brought me to Swindon in the first place and I know what to expect from working with him. "From my point of view I am happy that the gaffer here, Danny Wilson, has given me the opportunity. I just want to go down there, work hard and get some games."
