Left-back a concern for Robins

Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio has a selection dilemma at left-back ahead of the clash with Doncaster at the County Ground.

Regular left-back Jay McEveley underwent a knee operation last week and Fedo Bessone remains on the sidelines so the Italian is expected to move Joe Devera into that position with Nathan Thompson lining up at right-back.

In the absence of the suspended Alan McCormack, missing after his fifth yellow card of the season against Notts County, Aden Flint is likely to make his first appearance since a red card against Macclesfield in early November.

Tommy Miller and Alan Navarro remain out while Simon Ferry and Norwich loanee Chris Martin are both expected to shrug off injuries.

Swindon are looking to recover from back-to-back defeats to Brentford and Notts County.

Di Canio's men have also found goalscoring something of an issue, failing to find the back of the net in four out of their last six games in all competitions.

Jamie McCombe will probably be the only player unavailable for Doncaster.

A virus robbed Rovers of several first-teamers against Crewe in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.

McCombe along with fellow defenders Rob Jones and Tommy Spurr and winger Kyle Bennett were among those to be affected.

Everyone trained on Thursday though and are expected to be available for the trip to Wiltshire, except McCombe who is still under the weather.

Paul Keegan is back in the squad after serving a one-match suspension in midweek while fellow midfielder Martin Woods has recovered from a thigh injury.

Billy Paynter's grandmother died this week but the striker is still expected to be included in the travelling party.
