Swindon set to hand debut to goalkeeper Jake Kean against Bury

Swindon are expected to hand a debut to goalkeeper Jake Kean against Bury following his seven-day emergency loan switch from Norwich.

The 25-year-old has joined the Robins to provide cover, with both senior keepers Lawrence Vigouroux and Tyrell Belford currently sidelined by injury, after the Sky Bet League One club were given special dispensation by the Football League.

Captain Nathan Thompson returned from a three-match ban for the 1-0 defeat at Bradford and is expected to retain his place in defence, while forward Jonathan Obika could be in contention again following a hamstring injury.

It remains to be seen whether Drissa Traore, Jeremy Balmy and Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill will be included after the trio were suspended pending an internal club investigation following an image which emerged on social media appearing to show the players inhaling nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas.

Bury, without an away win in almost three months, could have Joe Riley back in contention.

The defender suffered an ankle injury during the draw at Burton and subsequently missed last weekend's victory over Doncaster.

Kelvin Etuhu made his comeback from a hamstring injury as a substitute against Rovers and the midfielder might now be pushing for a starting place.

However, Andrew Tutte (hamstring), Jacob Mellis (ankle) and Rob Lainton (groin) remain sidelined. Goalkeeper Lainton recently suffered a further setback in his recovery and is unlikely to play again this season.
