Swindon V Burton Albion at County Ground : Match Preview

03 February 2012 11:01
Flint blow for Robins Swindon will be without injured centre-back Aden Flint as they look to consolidate a place in the npower League Two automatic promotion places against Burton. Flint, who has impressed at the heart of the Robins' defence this season, has a groin problem which has kept him out of the last two matches. Striker Mehdi Kerrouche will not feature for manager Paolo Di Canio. The Algerian has not played since the 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers on December 10 and Di Canio has admitted he has no intention of handing him a place in the matchday squad. On-loan defender Daniel Boateng and new midfield signing Lee Cox are both in line for home debuts after arriving from Arsenal and Inverness in recent weeks. Burton will travel without Aaron Webster and Lee Lucas. Both players have been ruled out of the trip to Wiltshire after sustaining injuries during the 1-1 home draw against Oxford. The versatile Webster, on his return from a three-match absence because of a knee problem, suffered a hamstring tear last Sunday and faces around two months on the sidelines. On-loan midfielder Lucas also has a hamstring problem and has returned to parent club Swansea to receive treatment. Justin Richards twisted an ankle in training and missed the Oxford game and he remains a doubt. However, fellow striker Billy Kee, who this week rejected a move to League Two rivals Crawley, and defender Tony James look likely to recover from respective groin and knee injuries to be included in the squad.
