Red hot Ritchie runs Red Devils ragged

Matt Ritchie scored one and made two more as Swindon swept to a comfortable 3-0 win over newly-promoted Crawley.

Pacy winger Ritchie put the Robins ahead in the 25th minute after beating two defenders and drifting a shot wide of goalkeeper Paul Jones.

Tommy Miller got Swindon's second just before half-time when Ritchie crossed from the right and Raffaele De Vita headed back for him to score from 12 yards out.

Crawley manager Richie Barker used all three of his substitutes in a bid to halt the host's incessant attacks. But they went further behind in the 63rd minute when Ritchie found De Vita in space to score with a powerful shot.

Nicky Adams and Gary Alexander went close for Crawley but Swindon were in control from the start.

Aden Flint, booked earlier for a foul, thought he had scored a fourth with a powerful header but it was ruled out for offside.
