George Moncur and Callum Harriott net as in-form Colchester beat Swindon

Goals from George Moncur and Callum Harriott handed Colchester United their third straight victory in League One, a 2-1 success against Swindon at the County Ground.

Moncur's early strike was cancelled out by Wes Thomas for the hosts, but on-loan Harriott restored the visitors' advantage just before the break.

Moncur opened the scoring for the U's within three minutes, side-footing home from 12 yards following Matthew Briggs' pull-back.

Swindon levelled in the 21st minute, with Thomas smashing home from close range after Jordan Turnbull had flicked on Fabien Robert's corner, before Henrik Ojamaa fired straight at Jamie Jones with the U's goal gaping.

Colchester went in front again just before half-time after Marvin Sordell's tidy pass found the run of Harriott, who beat Ty Belford low at his near post.

In the second period, the visitors went close again when Belford pushed Gavin Massey's effort onto the crossbar, while Nicky Ajose diverted Jeremy Balmy's cross against a post for Swindon and Raphael Branco had a late header cleared off the line by Tosin Olufemi.
