Bantams deny Swindon

Ten-man Bradford produced a sterling defensive display to grind out a goalless draw at Swindon.

Phil Parkinson's men held on superbly for a little over half-an-hour after Andy Davies had been controversially dismissed for foul and abusive language by referee Oliver Langford.

The defender looked bemused when the red card was brandished after he had hauled down striker Jake Jervis in an off-the-ball incident in the 57th minute.

Yet despite the extra man advantage Swindon rarely troubled the visitor's goal with Matt Duke only being forced in to three meaningful saves throughout the 90 minutes.

The home side's best chance came on the stroke of full-time as on-loan Cristian Montano grazed the outside of the post after a weaving run down the left-hand channel.

But it was a disappointing display for Swindon, who looked bereft of ideas as an outstanding Bradford defence held firm and ensured they took a point with them back to Yorkshire.
