Smith keeps hold of number one jersey

Phil Smith is set to continue in goal for Swindon`s trip to Johnstone`s Paint Trophy runners-up Brentford. Smith was required to deputise for David Lucas after he sustained a back injury in the warm-up prior to last weekend`s 1-1 draw at home to Hartlepool. With Lucas still sidelined, Smith gets the chance to make amends for his howler which gifted Pools the opening goal at the County Ground. Defender Kevin Amankwaah also looks set to miss out again with the knee injury that ruled him out against Hartlepool while long-term absentees Vincent Pericard and Milan Misun (both knee) continue to watch from the stands. On-loan midfielder Alassane N`Diaye is again pushing for his first Town start as he increases his game time week by week, playing the final 20 minutes last Saturday.
