Rose leaves Orient red faced
Michael Rose's stunning free-kick gave Swindon a share of the points in a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient after a remarkable second half at the County Ground.
The first half was a poor affair with both teams failing to produce any genuine chances. The only real talking point was a Scott McGleish goal which was ruled out for offside after four minutes.
The second period started in controversy as Swindon left-back Alan Sheehan was given a straight red card for an innocuous-looking challenge on McGleish.
The sending off sparked the game into life and on 60 minutes Orient midfielder Matthew Spring curled a low shot from the right-hand side of the penalty area into the corner of the net to give Russell Slade's men the lead.
However, Swindon responded immediately when a Rose free kick was whipped in from the left, Charlie Austin evaded his marker to head home an equaliser.
Orient thought they had taken all three points with 14 minutes left when ex-Swindon striker Alex Revell nodded home a Charlie Lee cross, before Rose stepped up from 20 yards out to rescue a point for the Robins with just six minutes remaining.
