Robins take Brown on trial

Swindon are understood to have taken former Cardiff forward Jonathan Brown on trial. The 20-year-old, who has represented Wales up to Under-21 level, is currently without a club and has been training with the Robins this week in the hope of impressing manager Danny Wilson. But with Town`s next reserve outing not until mid-December, Wilson will have to arrange a behind-closed-doors friendly to see him in match action. Brown can play up front or on the wing and was released by Cardiff in June last year, since when he has spent time with Australian side Central Coast Mariners among others. Meanwhile, Paul Caddis will return to the County Ground on Thursday having been an unused substitute in Scotland`s 3-0 victory over the Faroe Islands on Tuesday night. Striker Thomas Dossevi will also be available for Saturday`s trip to Rochdale having chosen to play for Town ahead of representing Togo this weekend.
