Robins spot on
David Ball and trialist Keirnan Hughes-Mason converted a penalty in each half as Swindon cruised to a 4-1 friendly win at Hereford.
The Robins made the better start and took a deserved lead through Ball's spot kick in the 10th minute after Lescinel Jean-Francois had been brought down in the box.
Hereford deservedly hauled themselves level after a spell of pressure before half-time when Daniel Stretford steered a shot beyond Swindon goalkeeper David Lucas from the edge of the penalty area.
But Swindon regained control after the break. Hughes-Mason, on trial from Millwall, was tripped in the penalty area and picked himself up to drill home his spot kick.
Swindon substitute Charlie Austin headed home a cross from Jonathan Douglas with seven minutes left and in the closing stages Hughes-Mason nodded home his second after being picked out by Nathan Thompson.
