Robins cruise past sorry Hatters

23 February 2010 23:04
The Robins made the perfect start with a fourth-minute strike from Danny Ward, who collected a clearance on the 18-yard line to place the ball past Owain Fon Williams.[LNB]Danny Wilson's side had to wait until the 45th minute to extend their lead. Billy Paynter took advantage of a slip by Williams when he spilled the ball from Alan Sheehan's strike following a strong left-wing run.[LNB]However, moments later Swindon conceded a free-kick just outside the penalty area and Greg Tansey fired past David Lucas to give Stockport renewed hope going into the break.[LNB]But Simon Ferry headed in an exquisite chip from Jon-Paul McGovern as Swindon began to dominate the game once more.[LNB]Paynter completed the scoring with a 20-yard effort before Ferry cleared off the line late on.[LNB][LNB]
