Ritchie out to prove himself

Loan signing Matt Ritchie is aiming to make up for lost time after rejoining Swindon from Portsmouth. The 21-year-old midfielder, who sealed a one-month loan move to Town on Monday, returns to the County Ground having made four substitute appearances during a disrupted spell last season. "I thought I was a bit unlucky last time," Ritchie told the Robins official website. "Danny Ward was flying and in fantastic form and it was difficult to break into the side at the time. "It was a really good spell to be involved with the club though as I got to know the lads and Swindon is a fantastic club to be at. "The aim now is to get into the side and thankfully the gaffer at Pompey (Steve Cotterill) has been good and allowed me to come out on loan. "Being on the bench at Portsmouth was hard so I want to get as many games as I can during my spell here at Swindon."
