Prutton rescues Robins

David Prutton's first ever goal for Swindon gave the hosts a point from a 1-1 draw with Brentford in a game they did enough to win. Swindon started the brighter of the two teams but were soon made to pay for their lack of prowess in front of goal when, on eight minutes, a weak header from Michael Rose back to keeper David Lucas was intercepted by Brentford's Charlie MacDonald who then had an easy finish to make it 1-0. Town then got back into the game, Thomas Dossevi, Jonathan Douglas and Jon-Paul McGovern all having chances and Swindon were rewarded for their patience on 41 minutes when a long throw from Michael Rose was nodded on by Sean Morrison and Prutton stole in at the back post to nod home. Like in the first, Town started the second half looking the more positive side but failed to make Brentford keeper Alex McCarthy work. Both teams had their chances, with Swindon turning up the heat the most, only for Charlie Austin and David Ball to waste the opportunities that came their way.
