Prutton banned for Robins

Swindon midfielder David Prutton will miss out on a return to his former club Southampton in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round clash. Prutton was sent off at MK Dons on Saturday for two bookable offences and now serves a one-match ban. Prutton's suspension could mean a recall to the side for summer signing Simon Ferry or Michael Timlin, who was not included on the bench for the weekend defeat at stadium:mk. Robins boss Danny Wilson, who could shuffle his pack for the trip to the south coast, has been strongly linked with a move for Alan Gow. The former Rangers striker is a free agent after leaving Plymouth in the summer amd Wilson said: "We're hoping to get on, maybe two in. I'm always optimistic but you can never be certain."
