And with the Robins not playing over the weekend it has given him extra time to regain his fitness.
He told the club's official website: "It's getting better. It was never a bad injury really, it was just a bit of a tight hamstring.
"I felt very good after the running which is a very positive sign, and hopefully I should be fit for the Leeds game on Tuesday.
"The strength is there and I just need to get my confidence back to run and sprint on it so that's what we're working on at the moment."
