No Sheehan appeal for Swindon

Swindon have opted not to appeal against Alan Sheehan`s dismissal in Saturday`s 2-2 draw against Leyton Orient.

Manager Danny Wilson remains convinced Sheehan`s straight red was not warranted for his challenge on Scott McGleish early in the second half.

But having listened to the powers that be after they briefly looked at a DVD of the incident, Wilson has taken their advice and feels an appeal would ultimately be unsuccessful and could lead to a further game added to his three-match ban if it is deemed to be frivolous.

A similar fate led to midfielder Jonathan Douglas serving an extra game ban this time last season.
