No op for Austin

Swindon have confirmed that striker Charlie Austin will not need surgery on his dislocated shoulder. The 21-year-old scored the winner against Southampton last Saturday but was carried off shortly after following a collision with goalkeeper Kelvin Davis. He travelled to Bristol with physio Dick Mackey on Tuesday evening to seek specialist advice and has been given the boost that surgery is not required. Mackey said: "The specialist was happy with the range of movement that Charlie has for someone who suffered a brief dislocation only on Saturday. "At this stage the decision has been taken to let Charlie continue with his rehabilitation in a conservative manner which does not include surgery. "We will continue to monitor his recovery on a daily basis and although we won`t be putting a timescale on his comeback at this stage, the injury is not likely to rule him out long term."
