Mixed news ahead of Stockport trip

Austin is in a rich vein of form and his loss would have been keenly felt by boss Danny Wilson's promotion hopefuls after he injured his neck having landed awkwardly during the second half of Saturday's 3-1 victory over Gillingham.[LNB]But despite initial fears he would miss the encounter, the striker trained on Monday and should be in contention. New signing Vincent Pericard is on standby to make his first start alongside Billy Paynter should the youngster not make it.[LNB]However, on-loan full-back Sheehan will definitely miss out after he returned to Leeds for scans on the hamstring injury sustained against the Gills. Initial reports suggest he could be sidelined for up to a month.[LNB]Alan O'Brien is also continuing his recovery from another hamstring setback and will not feature.[LNB]Wilson revealed on Saturday he was hopeful of further bolstering his ranks with "two or three" new faces this week but that is not expected to happen before the trip to Edgeley Park.[LNB][LNB]
