Rochdale skipper Gary Jones rescued a point with an 86th-minute equaliser in a dramatic 3-3 draw against Swindon. Jones turned home Anthony Elding's cross minutes after Swindon had overturned a 2-1 deficit to lead. Dale fell behind in the opening minute when goalkeeper Josh Lillis spilled a fierce drive from Matt Ritchie and Michael Tomlin was on hand to poke home from close range. Rochdale levelled after 19 minutes when Lescinal Jean-Francois blocked Scott Wiseman's shot with his arm and referee Mark Brown awarded a penalty which Jones coolly converted. The home side took the lead in the 64th minute when Tom Kennedy sent a pass over the top of Sean Morrison into the path of debutant Bobby Grant, who twisted inside Jean-Francois before sliding the ball past Smith. Swindon's equaliser arrived in the 77th minute when Austin thumped an unstoppable drive past Lillis from the edge of the area. Four minutes later Michael Rose curled home a free-kick to put the visitors ahead, but in the 86th minute Jones turned Anthony Elding's cross past Smith secure a share of the spoils.
