Douglas named as Robins skipper
Swindon midfielder Jonathan Douglas has been confirmed as the new club captain for next season following Gordon Greer's recent departure to Brighton.
Greer left the club to join the Seagulls on Monday and manager Danny Wilson has since decided Douglas, who had been second in command to Greer, was the best candidate to take the armband.
Wilson told the club's official website: "Jon is an ideal replacement and I don't think it will come as much of a surprise to anybody that he's got it.
"I've not decided whether he'll have a vice captain or not, but I'm pleased that he's accepted it and we can move forward now."
