Douglas: Belief crucial to promotion hopes

Jonathan Douglas is confident Swindon will hold onto second spot in the race for promotion to the Coca-Cola Championship and insists the key is to keep believing. In his first season at the County Ground, the midfielder has been an integral part of Town`s transformation from League One strugglers to promotion contenders in the space of just 12 months. And with six huge games to go, the experienced Irishman is backing the Robins to hold their nerve. "It's a nice feeling. It's in our own hands and if we keep going the way we have been, who knows what might happen. We've just got to go into every game believing that we are going to win," he told the Swindon Advertiser. "It's what we've done all year and we will continue to do that. "We knew we were capable of doing well this year because we've got a good squad and good bunch of lads, and the manager has worked hard with us on the training ground. I don't see any reason whatsoever why we can't stay there (second place). "We are looking solid at the back and the two guys up front are on fire at the moment, so it's looking good at the moment. There is still a lot of hard work in front of us though, but we're looking forward to it."
