Wilson managed the Dons between December 2004 and the summer of 2006 and will now have to prepare to take the Robins to stadium:mk in the week commencing August 10. He told the club's official website: "It's a tough draw but what a good one! Our fans won't have far to go and it's a game that we can look forward to, especially after doing well there last season. "It will be a good yard-stick for us because MK Dons did well last year and it will come at the beginning of a competitive League One season. "We will give MK Dons respect when we get there and it should be a cracking game of football. Both sides like to play the game in the right way and it should be an exciting encounter." On his former club, Wilson added: "They've had a lot of changes since I was there. MK were playing back at the Hockey Stadium when I was in charge - now they have a fabulous stadium and the support-base is growing every season. MK Dons are moving forward in a positive direction but the Carling Cup tie is one we can look forward to."
