Bodin reflective after first game in charge

Paul Bodin was pleased with his debut as Swindon caretaker manager but accused one or two of his players of going "through the motions" during their 2-0 home defeat to Oldham. Bodin, who took charge in the wake of Paul Hart`s departure as interim boss on Thursday, was unable to reverse already-relegated Town`s fortunes as Chris Taylor bagged a brace at the County Ground. "Before the game I said I'll be happy if the boys give 100%, 99% of them did but one or two went through the motions, but that is the climate and the team I took over," he said. "There is not a lot you can do about that. "I have to pick the bones out of it and look at the performance, we had a few chances but they had one or two that they took very clinically. "Phil Smith has precious little to do except pick the ball out of the net. The difference was Chris Taylor, he was struggling last week and we thought perhaps he wouldn't play as he is a key player for them. But to come back from a hamstring and score cracking goals like that you have to take your hat off to him. "Overall I'm quite pleased. The game went very quickly and I really enjoyed it. You see certain things not only on the training ground the last two days but when you're out there at the sharp end of it you can see one or two players who perhaps don't give everything for the team but that's probably been throughout the season."
