Benyon set for Robins debut

Elliot Benyon is set to answer Swindon`s SOS call when he makes his debut against Rochdale. The Robins slumped into League One`s relegation zone with Tuesday`s 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth, meaning they have now won just one of their last nine games. One goal in five games prior to their reverse at Dean Court, combined with the loss of talismanic striker Charlie Austin, left Danny Wilson longing for attacking reinforcements and he landed Benyon with just an hour to spare ahead of Monday`s 11pm transfer deadline. The former Torquay man was not registered in time to feature on Tuesday but will now start against Dale and is charged with the task of firing last season`s play-off finalists up the table. Fellow striker Vincent Pericard (knee), defender Lecsinel Jean-Francois and youngster Billy Bodin (ankle) will again be assessed ahead of kick-off. Goalkeeper David Lucas (knee) continues to miss out.
