Burnley have won the chase for the signature of Swindon striker Charlie Austin. Austin had been in talks with Championship rivals Ipswich on Thursday, but no deal materialised. Clarets boss Eddie Howe swooped to capture the 21-year-old, who arrives at Turf Moor for an undisclosed fee. Austin has agreed a contract that will keep him at Burnley until June 2014. The former Poole Town player netted 37 goals in 65 games for the League One club after joining Danny Wilson's team in October 2009. His form soon attracted interest from above and it was Burnley who eventually signed the striker, although he is cup-tied for their FA Cup tie against Burton Albion on Saturday.
