Austin refuses to rule out leaving Swindon

Hot-shot Charlie Austin has revealed his disappointment after Swindon rejected Hull`s undisclosed bid to secure his services last month.

The 21-year-old striker has been linked with a host of npower Championship and Barclays Premier League sides over the past 12 months having bagged 37 goals in 62 appearances since signing from non-league Poole Town in October 2009.

The Tigers saw their offer immediately turned down by Swindon and Austin has admitted he would like to be given the chance to weigh up his options this month.

"Obviously I was disappointed the offer from Hull was turned down," he told skysports.com.

"It would have been a good opportunity for me. At the moment all I can do is focus on playing for Swindon. I am very grateful for Swindon giving me my chance. It's a great club and the fans are a different class.

"However, like any player I have the ambition to play at the highest level I can and for footballing reasons if opportunities come up over the coming weeks then I would hope we will be able sit down and look at it."
