Austin motoring for Town

Charlie Austin's seventh goal of the season lifted Swindon clear of the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Colchester. Austin started the move for Town's opener when he battled for the ball on halfway and played a lovely pass through to the on-running Thomas Dossevi. The Togolese striker cut inside on his right foot and blasted it into the bottom right-hand corner from 20 yards for his third goal of the campaign. Colchester equalised on the stroke of half-time when David Mooney's cross was met by Ashley Vincent, who headed high into the net. But 10n minutes after the restart, the impressive Matt Ritchie weaved his way down the right wing and found Jonathan Douglas in the centre. Douglas played in Austin and from 12 yards out the striker squeezed the ball under Ben Williams in the Colchester goal.
