Sweden coach Lars Lagerback insists he has no intention of quitting following his side's exit from the World Cup at the last 16 stage.
The Swedes suffered a comprehensive 2-0 defeat to Germany on Saturday but Lagerback says he expects to remain in charge of the national side until the end of his contract in two years' time.
"I haven't thought about it (quitting) at all," he said. "I have a contract until 2008 and have not had any other thoughts.
"We achieved two of three goals (qualifying for the World Cup and advancing from the group stage). That's a pretty good result.
"The expectations among people in the media are quite high. If we have a good day, we could beat any team.
"As a coach I say you need to be realistically optimistic. For a country like Sweden to qualify for the finals and advance from the group stage I think that is rather good.
"The only way I would take the initiative and resign would be if the players did not have confidence in me."
