Sweden coach Lars Lagerback praised Trinidad and Tobago's solid defending as his side opened their World Cup with a disappointing goalless draw.
The Soca Warriors held on for a point despite playing for virtually all of the second half with only ten men.
After the match Lagerback said: "Their keeper made some great saves and we just couldn't score.
"We were much the better side but they showed great skill and defended solidly but I thought we still played well.
"Paraguay played well against England and they will be tough to beat."
Midfielder Kim Kallstrom added: "We had three, four, five completely open goals but could just not score.
"It was tough and it will be even tougher for us from now on. We will work very hard to win our next match."
