    Lagerback plays down injury worries

    08 Jun 2006 - 09:45:43

Sweden coach Lars Lagerback expects midfielder Tobias Linderoth and goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson to shake off minor injuries in time to face Trinidad & Tobago on Saturday.

Linderoth missed training on Wednesday because of a thigh problem, while Isaksson was unable to finish the session after taking a knock to the head.

"It's mainly a safety measure that Tobias did not practice," said Lagerback.

"He was feeling something in the back of his thigh. We don't want to take any chances. He had a rehabilitation session."

About Isaksson, he added: "He just got a shot to the head. I don't think it's anything serious, just a little headache."

Lagerback also insisted striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to play in the Group B clash in Dortmund, despite rumours suggesting that he is out of condition.

He said: "In the free play session he worked very well. His performance was quite all right. Anyone who saw the free training is of the same opinion about Zlatan as I am."
