Watt to pen Swans deal

Swansea City midfielder Steven Watt is on the verge of signing a new deal with the club.

However, the 22-year-old Scot is expecting to be loaned out at the start of the season as he struggles to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Liberty Stadium.

Watt told the South Wales Evening Post: "I've spoke to the gaffer (Roberto Martinez) and it's just a matter of me coming in and signing.

"If Roberto then feels that it's best for me to go out on loan, then I'm more than happy to do so."

Meanwhile, Bayo Akinfenwa looks set to sign for Swindon Town after rejecting a new contract offer from the Swans.
