Swansea City defender Alberto Serran is set for around two months out of action after suffering a hamstring injury in the 1-0 win over Leicester City at the weekend.

The 25-year-old limped off against the Foxes with what initially seemed like a knee problem, but subsequent tests have shown a torn tendon in his hamstring.

He told the club's official website: "It's unfortunate. It's unlucky, but that's football.

"Obviously I'm very disappointed, but on the other hand I'm pleased that it is not the knee which could have been a lot worse.

"I've just got to work hard to get myself fit again as soon as I can."
