Swansea City have broken their club transfer record to sign former loanee Ashley Williams.
The 23-year-old Wales international spent the final few weeks on loan at the Liberty Stadium from Stockport County and has now agreed a permanent switch to the League One champions.
The defender will cost the Swans around £400,000 when his move on a two-year contract is made permanent on June 1.
"All negotiations have been concluded and paperwork completed in readiness to be lodged at Football League headquarters during the first week of June," read a club statement.
"The fee agreed with Stockport County is set to reach £400,000, which will make Ashley the most expensive player in Swansea City's history.
"He adds to the growing band of players at the club qualified to play for Wales with Ashley's international future expected to be long and fruitful."
