Swans seal Dimi loan deal

Swansea City have responded to the loss through injury of Dorus de Vries by signing goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos on loan from Coventry City.

De Vries is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a fractured jaw during the Championship draw with QPR on Tuesday evening.

Konstantopoulos has joined the Swans on a month's loan and will compete with Polish youngster Artur Krysiak for the number one jersey.

"We are delighted to welcome Dimi on board at the Liberty Stadium," manager Roberto Martinez told the club's official website.

"He has been part of the British game for a number of years and at 29 is in the best stage of his career.

"He is hungry for success and is determined to achieve his goal of playing for the Greek national senior side.

"Hopefully we can help him achieve that goal."
