Swans reassured over Bodde

Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde is not an immediate target for Bolton Wanderers, according to manager Gary Megson.

The Netherlands midfielder was watched by a number of Premier League scouts prior to picking up a season-ending cruciate knee ligament injury in November.

"We had an interest in him but he was unfortunate enough to pick up a really bad injury," said Megson.

"I think people have put two and two together from there with the recent stuff."

Meanwhile, Swans boss Roberto Martinez has ruled out the possibility of Bodde returning to action before the end of the current season.

"I think the play-off final was the romantic idea, but the realistic idea is that he will probably be back for pre-season now in the summer," said Martinez.

"He has been working hard. His knee is in fantastic shape, probably stronger than the other knee now."
